We bridge the gap between crisis and stability

Professional BACP counselling with life-pathway mentoring

We stop"activities and start delivering preventative impact infrastructure. We are a local Charity at heart, using our years of experience combined with essential specialist delivery partner within the Croydon ecosystem

18 Years of Community Transformation

Founded by Sarah, a BACP-accredited counsellor with a background in Criminology, the Centre of Change began as a grassroots response to the welfare of young people in Croydon.

From our humble organic roots, we have grown into a trusted local institution that champions culturally competent, professional care for families in New Addington and beyond

Young Person

At-Risk Youth

Before coming here, I didn’t really talk to anyone about what was going on. I used to get angry a lot and didn’t understand why. Having someone who actually listened and didn’t judge me made a big difference. I feel more in control now and more positive about what I can do next.

School Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

We’ve referred several students to Centre of Change, particularly those at risk of exclusion or struggling emotionally. The difference in engagement and behaviour has been noticeable. They provide a level of consistency and understanding that’s hard to achieve within school alone.

GP

Social Prescriber

“For patients experiencing low mood, anxiety, or difficult life circumstances, having a trusted local organisation like Centre of Change is invaluable. They offer a more holistic, community-based approach that complements clinical services well.”

Pastor Raymond T

Community Leader (New Addington)

A trusted institution. They are our 'fourth service' alongside the GP and library, providing culturally competent care that truly transforms lives in our neighbourhood

Sarah K

Local Grant Officer

We invest in this model because it works. They prove that linking wellbeing to attainment effectively prevents long-term youth unemployment in Croydon’s high-need wards.
